Full-Time Technical Support Specialist

Job Description

Our Technical Team strive to delight our customers and make their lives easier. To complete our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active and responsive team-player who will provide top-level support and deliver service excellence. They will build and maintain exceptional relationships both internally and externally.

Your main responsibilities

· Implementation of Network/Server Set up for Music & Visual customers & customer deployments

· 2nd tier support service on solution failures as escalated by CSR’s.

· Repair & installation of in-house products.

· Configuration & maintenance of Music & Visual network update facility at client sites – update & repair activities + Technical Staff from our US and EU office.

· Understand Client server set up (DHCP / DNS) for content updates

· Proactive monitoring and swift resolution of networked clients – visual & audio

· Back up for maintenance at Multichoice BOC

· Upkeep of server facility at Multichoice and reporting failure thereof

· Report of network connectivity and hardware failures with excellent excel skills

· Maintenance of workshop environment & Health & Safety adherence

· Maintain back-up solution for DMX products

· Timeous turn-around of faulty/repaired equipment

· Backup for CSR’s when required

You must have

Matric; TCP/IP Networking; A+, N+ knowledge essential; Minimum 5 years working experience in technical/support/IT environment/; Experience in a Project and / or Customer Service environment is an advantage, Proven reporting skills: at least intermediate level Excel & Word. Own vehicle in good condition essential. You will need to be on standby as per rolling schedule & cover where necessary.
