Full-Time Sales Representative | South Africa
Summary of the role
The purpose of the role is for the Sales Representative will be responsible to ensure achievement of sales objectives by acquiring new clients in accordance with the company’s commercial policies. The main focus will be to identify, and enhance business opportunities within South Africa and the extended territories. Deploy and onboard new customers to the Amadeus platform. The position will be based in Amadeus South Africa branch in Johannesburg.
Initiate, follow-up and lead all stages of the sales cycle from prospecting to closure of sales deals, in order to meet or exceed the established sales targets;
Visiting/calling upon clients in order to establish their requirements and assists them in selecting those products/ solutions best suited to their needs;
Performing product demos as required;
Liaising/Coordinating with various ACO departments in order to ensure prospect support and satisfaction;
Liaise with Account Managers at negotiation and deal-closing phases in order to transfer the new client accounts effortlessly, by ensuring correct transition delivery and customer satisfaction;
Comply with objectives set by achieving expected revenue and profitability levels in the portfolio;
Maintain a high level of Amadeus Product and Solution knowledge for each targeted customer segment as well as of other segment-relevant information; (Trends, strategy, competitors and pricing etc.);
Provide input into monthly planning reports by reporting on progress and lead status;
Provide feedback regularly on client, market and competitor information as well as product functionality requirements;
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies; and
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Ensure timely deployment of products and solutions for key clients when required.
Ensure correct transition of accounts from grower to hunter teams and vice versa.
Obtain a clear understanding of the product portfolio and the benefits of different products for each customer / prospect.
Transmit client demands in order to formalize them in contracts.
Ensure the collection of product and service fees by part of the department.
Guarantee the resolution of all client implementation issues or questions that may arise
Skills and knowledge:
Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
Language: English and local language fluent.
IT knowledge functional level.
Good understanding of Amadeus products and the industry, would be at an advantage
Solution selling (consultative selling)
Should have a dynamic personality with initiative and good communication skills
Commercial skills with a systematic approach to sales
Years of experience: Selling experience B2B in complex services / products of at least 3 – 4 years
Education: University degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
