Sales Representative Spine

Location: Gauteng, Durban

Contract: Permanent

Johnson & Johnson Medical has an immediate opening for Sales Representative Spine role in Durban, South Africa.

Overall Purpose Of This Job

To establish specific sales objectives by account based on competitive activity and maximum upgrade potential and increase the sales of the franchise products in a concise, effective manner in accordance with company policy. To Drive market share gain and competitor conversions.

The Responsibilities & The Impact YOU Will Have

The main duties and responsibilities of the position are highlighted but not limited to:
Achieve sales forecast for his / her territory.
To grow at a faster rate than our competitors.
To achieve dominant market share positions in the market segments that we serve.
To be the preferred supplier in all the market segments we serve.
To improve management net income to sales.

Key Competencies
Prepare a monthly hospital objective work plan for all accounts (top 5 accounts).
Maintain and utilize a Project Planner daily to assist in achievement of objectives.
Utilize the support of the Sales Force system to drive key customer conversions
Assess shortfalls by product groups and set objectives by code / product group.
Base account planning in the following order of priority:
Actively grow all relevant specialist areas where our product may be applied.
Conversion of opposition/competitive business.
Protection of commodity business.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Maintenance of key accounts.
Monthly personal prognosis to Sales Manager or Team Lead.


We’d love to hear from YOU, if you have:

Relevant Tertiary Degree/Diploma – bachelor’s degree at least.
Minimum of 3 years Sales experience within the Orthopaedic environment.
Previous 2 years minimum experience within Spine environment would be an advantage.
PC Knowledge: Word, intermediate excel and PowerPoint.
Basic Knowledge of
Proficient in Business English.
Proven track record of sales success.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
