Full-Time Product Partnerships Manager
In order for us to continue to grow, we need to ensure that we continue to build and maintain strong relationships with our key partners. In order to do so, we need a Product Partnerships Manager who will be the main point of contact for our partners as it relates to all commercial and operational requirements.
As our Product Partnerships Manager you will focus on 3 key areas:
Own the commercial performance of a portfolio of network partners, supporting growth opportunities
Ensuring that Mama Money remains commercially competitive without having to compromise on our aim of offering socially fair fees for our customers and great quality
Look for opportunities to expand Mama Money’s network within the retail and payment partner space.
Regularly assess the commercial value each partner brings and in conjunction with other core competencies, identify areas of improvement and opportunities.
Build, coordinate and manage go to market end-to-end plans with partners, in full alignment with Company goals
Ensuring that the partners are adequately trained on Mama Money’s internal processes and systems of Mama Money and vice versa.
Working with internal teams across the business to ensure successful integrations from technical support, financial, customer success and marketing perspective, ensuring continuous improvement and refinement of processes.
Working closely with the partners to facilitate key marketing activities in order to drive increased volumes.
Working closely with our sales team to ensure coordination between field agents and retail partners.
Work closely with the partners to improve on operational processes as it relates to settlement, transaction flow and refund processes, SLAs, Delivery.
Ensure all issues are escalated timeously and all relevant stakeholders are made aware and kept updated.
In your first 90 days at Mama Money you will:
Understand the commercial performance with every partner and which levers we can pull to maximise growth
Understand the internal and external workings of our go-to-market strategy, with the aim of owning this, and ensuring alignment with key internal and external stakeholders
Suggest and action strategies in which we can be commercially competitive to maximise gross margin
Own and run the operational aspect of our go-to-market strategy for all partners
Identify and implement changes to the operational process as it relates to settlement, transaction flow and refund processes, SLAs, Delivery.
You have 5+ years experience working within a similar role within the retail or payments industry
You are comfortable with data analysis and using data to make informed decisions
You have good understanding of the South African payments landscape and payment networks
You have strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
You have strong negotiation skills
You have strong commercial acumen
You are resilient to stressful environments with problem solving abilities
You are able work autonomously in a fast paced environment
You are flexible and adaptable
It would be a bonus if:
You have experience working with migrant communities
You have worked within the fintech space or at a rapidly scaling startup
