About The Role
We are looking for an HME Operator to drive / operate heavy mobile equipment and perform maintenance of pipe-work and related tasks in accordance with predetermined operating procedures and standards as prescribed by RBM and the National Authorities.
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will
Operate and drive mobile equipment in accordance with predetermined standards and policies in order to assist and ensure efficient plant operation.
Assist the supervisor as and when required in the maintenance of pipe-work and related tasks.
Transport, move, hoist, excavate, etc. any goods and equipment and assist in re-positioning plant equipment as required.
Ensure safe operations and practices and healthy work environment by evaluating task, ground conditions and load / lift capabilities prior to completing tasks.
Check items to be transported and, where appropriate, complete and deliver documentation.
Ensure first level maintenance of vehicles by performing routine vehicle inspections, completing checklist and reporting defects.
To succeed in this role, you will have
Grade12 / N3 (Maths & Science)
Code 10 Licence
Appropriate RBM vehicle license
At least 2 years relevant driving experience in heavy mobile equipment
