Full-Time Marketing Manager – Vector – SSA
The position responsibility is to ensure that Vector Control Portfolio contributes maximally to ES business. From a marketing perspective the responsible person manages the long-term marketing strategies and operational marketing activities of the Brand Office in close contact with the EMEA portfolio manager and the global VC team. The incumbent holds responsibility for the development and delivery of an integrated marketing strategy including all product management related aspects in order to achieve the financial results for the mentioned Brand Offices. The sales management’s role involves the development and implementation of all in market activation across all customer types.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
// Lead and collaborate with the cross-functional team in order to develop the annual marketing plan within Vector Control SSA, specifically: Sales forecasts (taking into consideration past history, market trends, competitive activity and required sales effort), allocation of expenses (taking into consideration stage in product life cycle, potential for future growth and profit contribution, potential competitors), required sales promotion program (taking into consideration marketing strengths relative to competitors, selling opportunities and customers’ needs and attitudes); the marketing materials needed to accomplish the goals, as well as NPD. Research may include focus groups, desk research, quant work, agency liaison. Involves project team leadership.
// Understand, analyse and monitor market trends & competitive environment to drive decision making.
// Develop appropriate promotional materials and campaigns to ensure the success of the overall strategy.
// Manage & monitor set A&P Budget: Development of financial & activity plan within plan timelines and metrics. Development of annual budget & activity plan within plan timelines and metrics.
// Build Partnerships, relationships & Teamwork (internal & external): With both internal and external members of the extended brand team involved in the marketing strategy, in alignment with EMEA Regional Marketing guidance
// Establish & maintain effective communication with relevant global Vector & Regional Marketing Team.
// Establish & maintain effective communication with Regulatory team, Product Development, Commercial teams, Sales Agents, Key Stakeholders.
// Develop ongoing liaison with thought leaders, professional societies, and other organisations to ensure significant developments in the relevant fields are identified and monitored and to gain knowledge of customer needs and develop strategies that are customer centric. Provide assistance with preparation of submissions to tender boards where applicable.
// Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and attending key conferences and events. Maintain master data accurate: Operationalize the new launches in the information systems (initiate SKU creation, define label content with local regulatory team). Ensure that all activities are in accordance with Bayer compliance standards.
